Honda F1 Wind Tunnel

Morgan Ashurst carried out the design and construction of shell, envelope, external works and associated fit-out works to create a new wind tunnel for the Honda F1 team.

This project had a high content of services, Morgan Ashurst worked closely with the specialist subcontractors to ensure the complex systems going into the build were designed, installed and commissioned to the highest standards for this client whose business relies highly on technology.

When the structure was almost complete the actual wind tunnel technology was lowered through the hole in the roof and then sealed. This required the co-ordination of other contractors’ programmes.
